Gravity Payments provides merchant payment-processing and reporting tools for businesses. This independent guide is not affiliated with Gravity Payments and cannot enter, verify or modify a merchant account.
Existing merchants should start at the official Merchant Logins page. Gravity offers more than one account route, and the appropriate portal can depend on the merchant ID rather than the employee’s email address alone.
What Gravity Payments Merchants Can Review
Gravity Dashboard is a centralized account tool for reviewing payment activity. Gravity says it includes recent transactions, batch history, sales-performance information and a Virtual Terminal for supported accounts.
The Dashboard login page also lists several practical reporting functions:
- printing past receipts
- reviewing transaction history
- applying transaction filters
- accessing monthly statements
- viewing transactions across locations
Those functions solve different problems. A receipt helps confirm one customer payment. Transaction history shows the individual processing record. A batch report groups activity submitted for settlement. A monthly statement provides a wider account view.
Begin with the narrowest record.
A merchant investigating one payment should not start by reading an entire monthly statement. Find the transaction and receipt first, then move outward to the batch and statement when the issue involves settlement, fees or funding.
Finding the Correct Gravity Payments Login
Gravity’s Merchant Logins page provides direct access to Gravity Dashboard and separate routes for other merchant systems, including ChargeItPro tools. The page also asks merchants to choose the option matching their merchant ID.
The merchant ID is usually shortened to MID. Gravity says it appears in the installation email or in the upper-left corner of the merchant statement.
Use this order:
- Locate the MID.
- Open Gravity Payments’ Merchant Logins page.
- Choose the account route associated with that MID.
- Use Gravity Dashboard when it is the assigned system.
- Contact official support when the listed options do not match the business’s records.
Do this first. Skip password recovery until the portal has been confirmed.
An MID and a Dashboard email are not interchangeable. The MID identifies the merchant-processing account, while the email identifies an individual account user. A valid employee email does not establish that the person has been assigned to every business location or reporting function.
How to Research a Gravity Payments Transaction
The Dashboard advertises transaction history, receipt printing and filtering. It also supports transaction visibility across locations for users with the appropriate access.
Before searching, gather the ordinary business references already available:
- approximate processing date
- payment amount
- business location
- receipt or order reference
- terminal or sales channel
- whether the payment was later voided or refunded
Start with the date and location. Skip a broad search covering several months unless the narrower attempt produces no match.
Multi-location accounts create a specific friction. The payment can be valid and fully processed but remain absent from the user’s current view because another location handled it. Gravity expressly promotes cross-location transaction visibility, but the user still needs access to the relevant locations.
A past receipt can provide the missing link. Gravity lists printing previous receipts as a Dashboard function, which can help a merchant connect the customer-facing record with the internal transaction history.
Why a Receipt and Bank Deposit May Differ
A customer receipt shows one transaction. A bank deposit usually represents settled activity from a broader group of transactions.
That difference is basic but often missed.
Gravity Dashboard includes batch history alongside recent transactions and sales information. A merchant researching a deposit should therefore identify the individual transaction, determine which batch contains it and then compare that batch with the corresponding bank entry.
The records answer separate questions:
| Record | Best use |
|---|---|
| Customer receipt | Confirm the payment shown to the customer |
| Transaction history | Check the individual processing record |
| Batch report | Review grouped settlement activity |
| Processing statement | Review monthly account activity and charges |
| Bank record | Confirm the amount ultimately credited or withdrawn |
A gross sales figure should not automatically equal one deposit. Timing, refunds and the merchant’s processing arrangement can affect the comparison.
Prioritize the batch. Skip assumptions based solely on the receipt total or daily point-of-sale report.
When contacting support, identify the affected transaction date, batch and bank-entry date. A narrow reconciliation question is easier to research than a general claim that the deposit is incorrect.
Printing and Using Previous Receipts
Gravity’s Dashboard page states that merchants can print past receipts. This can help when a customer requests another copy, when staff need to verify how a payment was recorded or when a merchant is researching a refund request.
The receipt should be treated as one part of the record. It may confirm the amount and transaction date, but it does not necessarily explain a later batch adjustment or account charge.
Use the receipt to identify the payment. Then check the transaction status.
A merchant should also confirm the correct business location before printing or discussing a record. Similar amounts can occur at different branches, particularly in businesses with standardized prices.
Shortcuts create errors.
Do not assume that the first transaction with a matching amount belongs to the customer in question. Match the available date, location and authorized business reference before taking an account action.
Gravity Dashboard Password Reset
The official Gravity Dashboard login page includes a Reset password option. Gravity’s current Dashboard instructions say the user should select that option, enter the email associated with the account and choose Send Email. The system then sends temporary access and instructions for creating a permanent replacement password.
Use that process only when Gravity Dashboard is the correct portal.
A password reset will not repair:
- an attempt to use the wrong merchant system
- an email that has no Dashboard user profile
- missing access to another business location
- an account-level processing restriction
- a report or tool that was not enabled for the user
This distinction saves time. The user may enter Dashboard successfully while the needed transaction, statement or location remains unavailable.
In that case, password recovery has already done its job. The remaining issue is account assignment, permission or merchant configuration.
Using Virtual Terminal for Voids and Refunds
Gravity’s Dashboard Virtual Terminal supports Sale, Authorization, Capture or Force, and Void or Refund transactions for eligible merchant accounts.
The original transaction should be located before an adjustment is attempted. That keeps the action attached to the correct merchant record rather than creating a separate payment that complicates reconciliation.
Timing can change the available action. Gravity states that a void attempted after 20 minutes may automatically be processed as a refund. It also says refunds can be processed on the transaction date or later.
That is a meaningful operational difference. A merchant expecting a void may later see refund activity because the applicable window had passed.
Do this first: verify the transaction status. Skip creating an offsetting sale or unrelated adjustment.
For accounts configured for surcharging, Gravity says the Virtual Terminal displays a notice prompting the merchant to inform the customer of the surcharge before a credit-card transaction is processed. Merchants should follow the account’s approved workflow and applicable rules rather than improvise the procedure.
Statements and Report Access
Gravity’s Merchant Logins page describes Gravity Dashboard as a route for monthly statements, batch reports and Virtual Terminal access.
The company also publishes a dedicated statement-access support page. That page directs merchants needing further help to technical support by phone or email.
Statements are useful when the question extends beyond one transaction. They can help the merchant place payment activity within the correct processing month and review account-level entries.
A missing statement screen does not necessarily mean the login failed. The merchant could be using a different portal, or the signed-in user may not have the access needed for that report.
Check the portal and user assignment first. Skip repeated password resets when ordinary Dashboard functions already load.
The statement also provides the MID in its upper-left area, according to Gravity, making it useful when a business is uncertain which login route applies.
Gravity Portals Versus Dashboard Reports
Gravity Portals is the company’s online billing-management platform. Gravity describes it as a tool through which businesses can issue invoices and collect customer payments.
That is different from Dashboard reporting.
| Gravity product | Main task |
| Gravity Dashboard | Merchant transactions, receipts, statements and batches |
| Virtual Terminal | Merchant-entered remote payment activity |
| Gravity Portals | Customer invoices and payment collection |
| Merchant Logins page | Routing merchants to the correct account system |
A customer paying an invoice generally follows the payment route supplied by the business. The customer does not need the merchant’s internal Dashboard login.
This division matters when writing support instructions. Sending a customer to Merchant Logins can create confusion because the page is intended to route authorized merchants, not ordinary invoice recipients.
Preparing for Gravity Payments Support
Gravity advises merchants to have their MID and any relevant error codes available before a technical-support call. It also says to confirm that the internet connection works and that devices are connected to power.
Prepare:
- the correct portal name
- MID
- transaction or batch date
- affected location
- terminal or software name
- exact error wording
- whether the issue affects one user or the whole business
That final distinction helps separate a user-access problem from a broader merchant or processing issue.
Gravity’s official support page currently lists assistance at (866) 701-4700 and says its multilingual team is available 24/7 in English, Spanish, Korean and Japanese. Online support tickets are generally answered within one business day, while urgent matters should be handled by telephone.
Give support the smallest reproducible problem. “The March 18 transaction appears under Location B but not Location A” is more useful than “my report is missing.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Gravity Payments a consumer wallet?
No. Its main account tools serve merchants.
Where is the Gravity Payments merchant login?
Use Gravity Payments’ official Merchant Logins page. It provides Gravity Dashboard access and routes merchants toward other systems based on the MID.
Can Gravity Dashboard print an old receipt?
Yes. Gravity lists printing past receipts among the Dashboard’s merchant functions.
Why can’t I find a transaction?
The user may be searching the wrong date range, merchant account or business location. Gravity Dashboard supports transaction filters and cross-location visibility, but the user must have access to the relevant account.
How do I reset my Dashboard password?
Select Reset password on the official Dashboard login page, enter the account email and choose Send Email. Gravity then sends temporary access and permanent-reset instructions.
